I don’t know what to post.

So you’ve been wondering why I have not posted lately. Right? Nothing crazy going on in my life besides all the normal stuff. I just not sure what to post. The time comes when your just not sure what to say.
I could tell you how things are going, but everything is going about the same. No big new news these days.
I could tell you about our new series. We are preaching through 1 John. It’s called “I am second” Now you know
I could tell you how busy I am. But you are probably just as busy.
I’ve got an idea. Why don’t you tell me what to blog on for a little while. Seriously. You just comment on this post and ask a question. What ever it is I will blog about it. Promise. Go ahead come up with a good question and I’ll blog on it.
Of course the danger in this is I might find out nobody reads my blog anymore. But it’s probably a good idea to figure that out now anyway.
So send in the questions! DO it now!

Hey Joey,
Im still reading your blog !! but there wasn’t anything to read. What a great idea for us to ask you questions ! This question is from a sermon series we started last week at the Summit
called Sabotoge ” the fear of man vs. the fear of God “. The quote is ” God never calls you to be loved, he loves you and tells you to love others”. How could this understanding affect the way we interact with people ?.. Do we really need people’s approval but just all we need to know and be in awe of is God’s love for us ?
Thank you !
Linda
What has good been teaching you in your personal life?
What has God been teaching you about church planting and about shepherding the people at the church plant?
Stuff you could post:
The best thing about being in ministry.
The worst thing about being in ministry (and how God helps).
Your single favorite ministry event in the past however-many years. Or the one that stretched you most.
The challenges facing [fill in an age bracket] in N. American church today. Or just everybody, no age.
The best/hardest thing about being a dad.
Ditto husband.
Ditto just a guy.
Commentary on any aspect of worship: what it is, what it isn’t. Why stage sets in worship are important. !!

I’m still waiting for your answer…
I read your blog… been noticing the dry spell, but seeing as how mine hasn’t been updated since Halloween, I have no room to talk. : )
Here is a topic for you…
I’ve been reading “The Shack”- very slowly I might add so that I can really digest what it says- and it says a lot! In the chapter I just finished, Mack is talking to Jesus and they are talking about Christianity. Mack asks if Jesus’ goal is to make everyone a Christian, and Jesus responds “No.” He says (and this is a paraphrase from my memory… so don’t put too much energy into the exact wording) that his goal is to bring everyone into relationship with “Papa” (God) and to bring them into the fold as fellow members of the family. Mack goes on to ask about all the roads (of other faiths that are out there) and wonders if they all lead to God. Jesus responds- No, many of them lead to nowhere. BUT that he will travel down any road necessary to reach those that he loves (everyone). I’ve done a lot of thinking about this in the past week and have been reflecting on how God can use the other walks of faith to bring people closer to him.
I’ll reference the book at home tonight and get back to you on the specifics… but this should get you started. : )
Have a great Friday!!!
