Astonished!

You know sometimes I’m just astonished at how much I need Jesus.  Really.

When I was 20, I really didn’t need Jesus that much because I knew everything.

When I was 25, I really didn’t need Jesus that much because I was doing things the right way.

When I was 30, I really didn’t have time for Jesus because I was so busy with Ministry.

Not that I’ve got it together today, but seriously I need Jesus.  I know nothing, what I do is often not the way God would do it, and  I am still too busy.

How about you?  Do you need Jesus?  Or have you got this thing under control on your own?

    I not only need Jesus more than ever now, I have accepted I can’t do it all, my way doesn’t work and as I’m growing older…:) ( excuse me, growing in grace, I’m learning more about humility and being silent before the Lord. The neatest thing is, I not only need Jesus to lead me, I now want Him to lead me every minute of every day. There is no more arm twisting. I love this quote from Randy Alcorn’s The Treasure Principle from Martin Luther ” I have held many things in my hands and I have lost the all, but whatever I have placed in God’s hands, that I still possess “…very cool.
